Persian Abstract

زمینه و هدف: پایین بودن مهارت های زندگی موجب افت تحصیلی، بروز آسیب های روانشناختی در فرد و احیاناً روی آوردن به سوء مواد مخدر و سایر رفتارهای پر خطر می گردد. هدف پژوهش حاضر، بررسی ارتباط مهارتهای زندگی و آسیب پذیری نسبت به مصرف مواد در دانشجویان می باشد. روش بررسی: در این مطالعۀ توصیفی همبستگی، 350 دانشجوی دانشگاه پیام نور تربت حیدریه که در سال تحصیلی 1390 در این دانشگاه مشغول به تحصیل بودند، به روش نمونه گیری خوشه ای چند مرحله ای انتخاب شدند. برای جمع آوری داده ها از پرسشنامه  مهارت های زندگی (گلزاری، 1386) و پرسشنامه آسیب پذیری نسبت به مصرف مواد (نجفی و بیگدلی، 1387) استفاده شد. تحلیل داده ها با استفاده از نرم افزار  spssنسخۀ 16 و روش های آماری، ضریب همبستگی پیرسون و تحلیل رگرسیونی انجام شد.یافته ها: بین نمرات افراد در مقیاس مهارت های زندگی و آسیب پذیری نسبت به مصرف مواد همبستگی منفی معناداری وجود داشت (01/0P<). به عبارتی هر چه نمره فرد در مهارت های زندگی بالاتر باشد آسیب پذیری او نسبت به سوء مصرف مواد کمتر است و بالعکس. از بین مهارت های دهگانه زندگی (2/29/0 p≤)، مهارت های مقابله با هیجانات (2/23/0p≤)، تفکر خلاق(4/0p≤) و ارتباط مؤثر (1/0p≤) نقش معناداری در آسیب پذیری نسبت به سوءمصرف مواد دارند.  نتیجه گیری: مهارت های زندگی با افزایش منابع مقابله ای موجب خودکارآمدی و حرمت خود بالا شده و از این طریق نقش مهم و مؤثری در پیشگیری از سوء مصرف مواد دارد. پایین بودن سطح مهارت‌های زندگی سبب می شود توانایی فرد در برخورد با چالش ها و مشکلات زندگی پایین آمده و موجب ارائه یک پاسخ هیجانی و نامطلوب نسبت به محرک ها و رویدادهای زندگی گردد. همچنین، موجب افت تحصیلی، بروز آسیب های روانشناختی در فرد و احیانا روی آوردن به مواد مخدر و سایر رفتارهای پر خطر می گردد.

The Relationship between Life Skills and Vulnerability to Drug Abuse among University Students

Abstract

Background: Lack of life skills can lead the person toward incompetency in educational attainment, psychological trauma and in extreme cases contribute to promoting drug abuse and other high risk behaviors. The present study aims to investigate the relationship between life skills and vulnerability to drug abuse among university students. Materials and Methods: In this descriptive correlative study, 350 students of Torbat-e-Heydarie Payam-e-Noor University at educational year of 2011 were selected through multi-stage cluster sampling. life skills (Golzari, 2007) and vulnerability to drug abuse (Najafi & Bigdeli, 2008) questionnaires were used as data collection tool. Pearson correlation coefficient and regression analysis with SPSS 16 used for data analysis. Results: There was a significant negative correlation between the students score on life skills and vulnerability to drug abuse (P<0/01). In other words the higher the score of the subject in life skills, the lower the student’s vulnerability to drug abuse and vice versa. Among ten number of life skills high scores of stress management, creative thinking and effective communication skills had a  significant role in reducing vulnerability to drug abuse. Conclusion: With improving life skills and hence increasing the ability to overcome, one can promote self-reliance and self-respect and this phenomenon in turn can significantly reduce the inclination to drug abuse. A low level life skill reduces the person’s ability to properly deal with challenges and difficulties in life and cause the person to act irrationally and emotionally in response to provocations and unaccustomed situations. Moreover, a lack of life skills can lead to academic failure, psychological trauma and in extreme cases contribute to promoting drug abuse and other high risk behaviors.
