Persian Abstract

زمینه و هدف: دیابت بیماری مزمنی است که با کاهش ترشح انسولین ناشی از اختلال در عملکرد سلول های بتا در پانکراس یا افزایش مقاومت به انسولین مشخص می‌شود. گرایش به درمان دیابت توسط داروهای گیاهی که دارای عوارض جانبی کمتری نسبت به داروهای شیمیایی هستند، روز به روز گسترش می یابد. این مطالعه با هدف اثر عصاره هیدرو الکلی برگ گیاه جغجغه بر میزان گلوکز خون در موش های صحرایی دیابتی انجام شد. روش: تعداد 45 موش صحرایی نر به طور تصادفی در سه گروه 15 تایی شاهد سالم و شاهد دیابتی و دیابتی تحت تیمارتجویز عصاره برگ گیاه جغجغه تقسیم شدند. القا دیابت نوع 1 در موش های صحرایی نربه وزن (300-150 گرم )با تزریق درون صفاقی استرپتوزوتوسین به میزان ( mg/kg 60) صورت پذیرفت. به موش های دیابتی تحت تیماربه صورت روزانه (mg/kg 300) به مدت 30 روزعصاره هیدروالکلی برگ گیاه جغجغه از طریق گاواژ خورانده شد. گروه شاهد سالم وشاهد دیابتی در این مدت آب مقطر دریافت کردند. سپس در روز قبل از تجویز عصاره و روز های 15 و 30 بعد از تجویز عصاره میزان گلوکز خون و وزن موش ها اندازه گیری شد. یافته ها: نتایج نشان داد که وزن موش ها در گروه های شاهد سالم، دیابتی شاهد و دیابتی تحت تیمار تغییری نکرد. در گروه دیابتی تحت تیمار در روز 15 مقدار گلوگز خون نسبت به گروه شاهد دیابتی و شاهد سالم کاهش معنی داری یافت. نتیجه گیری: مطالعه حاضر نشان داد خواص ضد دیابتی در عصاره هیدروالکلی برگ گیاه جغجغه وجود دارد.

The Effect of Hydroalcoholic leaf Extract of Prosopis Farcta on Blood Glucose in Diabetic Rats

Abstract

Background and Aims: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease recognized by a reduction in insulin secretion due to the malfunction of β cells in the pancreas or an increase in the cell’s resistance to insulin. Todays, the trend in the treatment of diabetes by herbal medicines which have fewer side effects than chemical drugs has promoted. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of hydro - alcoholic Prosopis farcta leaf extract on the blood glucose in diabetic rats. Materials & Methods: In this study, 45 male rats were randomly divided into three groups: 15 healthy controls and diabetic controls and diabetic treated by Prosopis farcta leaves extract. Type 1 diabetes was induced in rats with 300-150 g weight by injected Streptozotocin at 60 mg / kg dose. Diabetic rats were treated daily with 300 mg / kg hydroalcoholic leaf extract of P. farcta for 30 days. Healthy control and diabetic control groups received distilled water during this time. Then the blood glucose was measured at day before and days 15 and 30 after injection of extract. Results: Based on the results, the weight of rats did not change in healthy controls and diabetic controls and treated diabetic . Blood glucose level in the treated diabetic group decreased compared to the control group at day 15. Conclusion: The results of this study showed that hydroalcoholic leaf extract of P. farcta had antidiabetic effects.
